As a society, we tend to focus heavily on planning and preparing for pregnancy and childbirth. However, what we often overlook is that the postpartum period can have the most profound impact on a mother’s sense of self.

Often, moms seek help only after they have been struggling with postpartum mood disorders for some time, leading to deep-rooted self-judgment and feelings of hopelessness. Our goal is to prevent such feelings and disorders by aiding new moms in creating plans, preparing for what's to come, and providing them with expert support throughout the process.

“It is not what you expected. It is so much less and so much more. It is challenging, it is transforming. It is motherhood.”

From Our Founder

“Hi Mama, thank you for taking the time to check out Bloome.

As a mom of 3, Bloome has now become like a fourth child to me. I am so grateful for you, and I want you to know that you’ve come to the right place. My team and I will do everything we can to get you prepared, confident, and feeling like yourself again. Postpartum can be hard to navigate - I know. I’ve been there with my 3, and I always wished a service like this existed.

I remember having my first child and having never changed a diaper before, let alone being responsible for a baby. I was terrified, confused, overwhelmed, and filled with monumental pressure to give this baby the best life...but how?

Those first few nights home were filled with anxiety, gratefulness, sadness, fear, and joy. Which really sums up motherhood, doesn’t it?

Fast Forward to having my third child and realizing that there was still nothing to bridge that gap between being discharged from the hospital and being able to see an expert for support. Sure, they were doing depression screenings in the hospital now, which was a huge step, but I felt like the emotions didn’t really set in until I got home and realized you’re all alone - no one to ask questions to or a nurse to page. I decided it was time to act, and I worked and wished and dreamed Bloome into fruition.

Now that a service that was once lacking exists, my wish for you is to get the most out of your experience - be honest, be authentic. We are here for you.

And remember, even though you might feel hopeless and confused right now, know that the fog will lift, and you’ll be able to be a good mom AND still be you seamlessly. .

Wishing you a lot of love and healing,

Dr. Jane”
